Developing new technologies always comes with risks. With the creation of increasingly self-sustainable artificial intelligence systems, there is the possibility that the program will become too smart. For example, Facebook was forced to shut down an AI program after it developed its own language which humans were unable to understand. Perhaps the fear of technology becoming sentient is greater than the desire for convenience. Artificial intelligence can create accurate renders of faces based on pictures and even make realistic images of people who do not exist. This contributes to the idea of fake news, because users will not be able to trust content they view on the internet. Because the renders are so realistic, it will become difficult to distinguish between genuine images and images created by artificial intelligence.
